Artists

Keeping with a tradition that has been a part of our company since its inception, in collaborating with the world of art and culture, we still work with a team of passionate artists from all over the world who work on the stories and the illustrations for The Spiritheque project, offering stories that are always different, together with graphic renditions that go hand-in-hand with the narration styles.

For the stories

  • Francesco Muzzopappa

    He's the author of several successful novels, also translated abroad. Notably, he has written stories for Il Corriere della Sera, Style and Linus.

  • Fabio Bergamini

    Born in Lima in 1981, is an Italian comics buff. He started writing during his design studies at the Polytechnic University of Milan, collaborating with the magazine Interni and Il Piccolo Teatro of Milan.

  • Eleonora Gomez de Teran

    Born in 1989, writing has always been part of her life, as a freelance journalist and blogger. She works in advertising but has never given up creative writing and the penning of narrative texts.

  • Alessandro Gemignani

    Born in '96, lives in Milan. Passionate about writing from a young age, as soon as he finished his university studies he immediately started working in the world of advertising as a copywriter.

  • Marco Celletti

    Born in 1986, full-blooded roman but globetrotter in the soul. After having lived for more than five years in the Ville Lumiére, he arrives in Milan where he starts with advertising and communication world. He's been writing ever since he can hold a pen, giving life to his love for stories. Videogame journalist, writer of independent comics, if he were a fictional character he would be one of those 80s villains who lose at every episode but then never give up.

  • Enrico Russo

    Born in 1977 - "Doesn't look like it" cit. - begins his love-hate relationship with writing as an automotive journalist. After having walked the streets of the whole planet, he lands for bet in the world of advertising as a copywriter. No one, at the moment, has claimed the bet made.

  • Silvia Mazzocco

    Originally from Verona, Milanese by adoption, Roman on her mother's side. You don't say class, she says. You just have to have it. Copywriter but above all Design writer, with a great passion for visual languages: because words design worlds. Before joining WT, she worked as a fashion, trend and costume journalist for various newspapers, including Corriere della sera. Everything tells a story, many stories. Read hers.

  • Vincenza Iovinella

    Napòlide by definition, she lives and works as a copywriter in Milan after being an active member of the young Neapolitan creative scene. Ex graphic designer, ex strategic planner, ex blogger, she believes in lives that contain more than one ex, at least in the job title. She loves taking polaroids, singing at the top of her voice and walking for hours, but words continue to be her favourite daily leisure activity.

  • Clarissa Rustioni

    Born in 1993 but feeling like she was "in the wrong era," she says. She loves simple things like walks, photographing clouds and the smell of printed paper. Thanks to her painter grandmother, creativity has always been an important part of her life. A pristine canvas or a blank sheet of paper is not scary, on the contrary, that's where everything comes to life. But that's another story.

For the illustrations

  • Giuliano Cangiano (Kanjano)

    Professionally known as Kanjano, Giuliano is a Sicilian illustrator with a flair for narration. Over the past few years, he has created illustrations for comics, graphic journalism books, satire cartoons in newspapers (Corriere della Sera) as well as illustrated books. He’s also served as the director of “Mamma!”, a graphic journalism and satire magazine.

  • Matteo Berton

    Born in Pisa, he works in Bologna. His trait is a fusion of shapes and compositions. He has received several awards in Italy and abroad. He has worked for The New York Times, The New Yorker, Wired, and Monocle.

  • Laurent Meriaux
    (Lili des Bellons)

    He lives between Paris and Clermont-Ferrand in France. His artistic references are rooted in medieval, African and Japanese art. After obtaining a Digital Director degree, he decided to go back to his great passion for illustration.

  • Jeromy Velasco

    He lives in Los Angeles. Thanks to his style he has conquered notable audiences, with works displayed at the Museum of American Illustration of New York, and then again in Chicago and Los Angeles. His public works such as the Welling Court Mural Project in Queens, New York are well known around the world.

  • Steven Noble

    Considered one of the 200 best illustrators in the world, his style is renowned at global level, from Japan to Europe. His works have been featured on Communication Art Magazine. He’s also known for the Zathura book cover.

  • Song Kang

    Song Kang is an Illustrator based in Atlanta, Georgia. She combines her interests in organic forms and textural details to create dreamlike images. Flat or dimensional, her works are environments where the viewer is encouraged to explore deeper within the subtleties.

  • Massimiliano Aurelio

    After having worked for several years as an art director, in 2011 he started devoting himself to the art of illustration, collaborating with primary advertising agencies and publishing houses like Mondadori, as well as magazines such as Wired and Rolling Stone.

  • Lalo Huesca

    An illustrator and publicist born in the Mexican lands of shamans, mysticism and eclecticism that led him to be inspired by magical realism and vintage comics, making his works transcend borders by telling stories that intertwine the mythical dimension with everyday life.

  • Ale + Ale

    ALE+ALE are Alessandro Lecis and Alessandra Panzeri. They’ve been working together since 2000 and live in Paris. For years they’ve been depicting possible realities using old newspaper clippings, implausible drawings and dreams. They received several awards and have been selected for international exhibitions and competitions including the Bologna Book Fair, the Biennial of Illustration “llustrarte” in Lisbon, and the Salon du livre in Paris. The pair continues to produce work for publishing, newspapers and advertising with clients in Italy, France, Spain and the US.

  • Marianna Tomaselli

    Marianna lives in Milan. After a couple of years spent as a fashion designer, she worked as an art director and creative at Revolution Department, an animation and video studio. Now she’s a freelance illustrator and art director, mainly working in the advertising and fashion sectors. She’s collaborated with national and international agencies as well as famous brands such as Nike, Valentino and CNN.

  • Gabriele Brombin

    Illustrator and graphic designer from Milan, his work ranges from illustrations for brands such as Nike and The North Face, to cover artworks for Italian and international music artists and concept art for indie games. He self-published the sci-fi graphic novel "The Sand Sea and the Plateaux of Mirrors".

  • Ale Giorgini

    Ale Giorgini started drawing when he was child and he never quits. Today he works as illustrator, collaborating with clients such as Armani, Adidas, Jeep, Puma, Disney, Warner Bros, Opinel, Kinder Ferrero, Fidenza Village, Foot Locker, Emirates and publishing in magazines and newspapers such as The Hollywood Reporter, Boston Globe, Chicago Magazine, The Official Ferrari Magazine, Il Sole 24 Ore, Il Corriere della Sera. He participated in exhibitions and events around the world: Tokyo, New York, Zurich, Wien, Paris, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Annecy, Manchester even if as soon as he can he loves to spend time in Vicenza (Italy), his hometown. He won the Good Design Award by the Chicago Museum of Design (2017) and was selected by Society of Illustrators in New York (2015, 2017). From 2013 to 2018 he has been director of Illustri Festival.

  • Roberta Maddalena Bireau

    Creativity geek, lives in Berlin. As art director, visual artist and musician she collaborates with international teams on projects between science and art, advertising and publishing, also touching on topics such as civil rights and environmental protection. As an artist she was guest speaker at a TED Talk with a speech on the social value of drawing and participated together with other artists and scientists in an international round table on Big Data, organized by the European Commission.

  • Marceau Truffaut

    He is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator, based in Lille – FRANCE since 2013. His creative universe navigates between figuration and abstraction. He handles little colors, and prefers the radicalism of black. Contrast games and composition play a vital role in his artwork. He works often focuses on the tensioning of shapes, solid and voids with the intention of creating an image that imposes itself spontaneously. His inspirations blend the fields of science in their abilities to dizziness and open new horizons, but also music, especially rock and tattoo for graphic symbols and the culture they carry.

  • Taj Francis

    Jamaican visual artist, Taj Francis, has a diverse interest of expression, mainly focused through illustration. He has worked on many projects ranging from design work to creative direction, while also being in several art exhibitions both locally and internationally. Being a multifaceted artist, his work is produced in several forms, such as: paintings, digital art, murals and video art or animation. Through this, his pieces explore the subtle nuances of human behavior and identity, specifically relating to African ancestry.
    As an artist, Taj Francis’ work focuses on the nuances of human behavior, viewed through the Surreal lens of African ancestry and identity. His paintings and illustrations have a strong focus around nature, ethereal elements, and technology that help form the visual language of many of his artworks.

  • Eunjoo Lee

    Eunjoo Lee is a Korean illustrator and textile graphic designer based in Seoul and Glasgow. Her subject is diverse, but she is especially interested in modern society's utopia and dystopia. She awarded lots of international awards such as AOI, American illustrator, 3x3 awards and etc. Now she graduated Glasgow school of art, and she runs her own studio polar-blue-bir.

  • Francesco Poroli

    Francesco Poroli was born and lives in Milan. Since 2000 he has been working as illustrator and art director freelance. His clients’ list include The New York Times Magazine, Wired, GQ, Facebook, Campari, adidas, NBA and Red Bull - among others. In 2017 he published “Like Kobe - Il Mamba spiegato ai miei figli” for Baldini&Castoldi. His works have been awarded by Society of Illustrators New York e The Society of Publication Designers. He is the artistic director of Illustri Festival, TEDx speaker and teaches in NABA, IED Milano and Domus Academy.

  • Alice Wang

    Alice Wang is an illustrator based in Montreal, Quebec. Raised on fantasy and fairytales, her work often deals in the imaginary, but incorporates the lessons that only realism offers. With her work, she seeks to bring back wonder and reflection to the quieter moments in life.

  • Maurizio Brocca

    Maurizio Brocca was born in Dorgali in 1986. After attending the art academy in Nuoro for 7 years, pushed by a growing dose of foolishness, he warmed up to the fascinating and tragic idea of making a living out of drawing. He obtained a diploma from the IED in Milan and then returned to his beloved Sardinia, by the sea, preferring a good environment to a good connection. He lives and works here, spending his time between his obsession for paper, watercolours, paint brushes and long walks by the sea, on the mountains and by bandits' cave hideouts. He enjoys  cooking, growing vegetables, collecting abandoned nests, picking mushrooms and asparagous and sometimes he also try to be an illustrator.

  • Federico Epis

    Born in Bergamo, graduated in Milan and currently based in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. His illustrations, as well as in his life, are totally inspired by nature. He loves to work with landscapes, colors and lights creating a modern style with a retro touch. He has worked for UNSSC, The Good Life, Rinascente and Clementoni.

  • Cinzia Santi

    Cinzia Santi was born in Turin, where she graduated in Architecture at the Polytechnic. After a few years she started working as a freelance illustrator and founder of her little illustration brand Polka Dots Empire. Her illustrations are always inspired by nature and her passion for travelling, photography and movies. She works with private clients, companies and brands. She recently attended a Master course in editorial illustration in Macerata at the Ars in Fabula School, in order to learn more about children’s book illustration. Some of her works were selected for the “Autori di Immagini” Annual 2020 and the Renner prize 2020. She currently lives and works in Asti and when she’s not drawing you can find her eating pizza or taking long walks into the woods.

  • Lucile Matter

    Born in 88’ and living in Metz (Eastern France), Lucile is a French illustrator and graphic designer. She is inspired by history, pop culture and cinema. Most of the time, she gives a photographic point of view, as a movie scene. She likes to create short stories through her illustrations.

  • Margot LV

    Illustrator and graphic designer based mostly in Santo Domingo in recent times but also in other countries, I enjoy living in different places and discovering new cultures and cities. I got my start in illustration while studying graphic design at the California Institute of the Arts. My illustrations are inspired by nature, books, movies and real stories. I love to play with natural colors and complement them with dark contrasts. I spend most of my time working on the hyperrealism style, which allows me to convey my point of view on an interesting problem or a short story through a subtle metaphor.

  • Constance Lai

    As a designer by day and an illustrator by night, I have a strong passion for branding, art direction, conceptual advertising, and digital & UI design. I work with leaders and teams to craft their vision, help shape their strategy, and accurately and vividly bring it all to life through design and image. I love food, I love traveling and I love to observe all kinds of stuff in the world.

  • Dale Edwin Murray

    I'm a self-taught illustrator and graphic artist in the UK with over 15 years of experience of creating for the editorial, advertising and design industries. I'm inspired and influenced by Hip Hop culture, skateboard graphics, Blue Note record sleeves and Scandinavian folk art.

  • Bryan Levandowski

    Is an American writer based in London. He splits his time between working on a variety of creative marketing projects around the world and writing his novel, a work of love and procrastination. He’s contributed to such publications as BlackBook and Monocle.

  • Massimo Caregnato

    Is a translator and interpreter specialising in advertising, marketing and publishing. After completing international studies in Lisbon and Edinburgh, he started lecturing at the University of Trieste. His translation work has been featured in several renowned institutions around the world, including the Venice Film Festival.
